Kadar In the News

Kadar Karnival 2014

The 13th Annual Kadar Karnival is scheduled for Saturday, September 27th. This year’s theme is Education.

This year our Mountain of Joy will benefit Reach Out & Read, a non-profit organization that trains and supports medical providers who give books to children and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud. This organization builds on the unique relationship between parents and medical providers to develop essential early literacy skills in young children via the existing healthcare infrastructure. Each year, Reach Out & Read serves 4 million children across all 50 states, focusing on those in low-income families.
To make a donation to this educational organization, please bring new or gently used books (ages 6 months to 5 years) to the Karnival. You can also make a one-time donation in the form of cash or check. Checks should be made payable to Kennedy Family Heath Services, with a notation on the memo line that reads:  “Donation for Reach Out & Read.”  For more information on Reach Out & Read, visit their website -- www.reachoutandread.org.
